What does "for collectors" mean?

Makers have lines made especially for adult collectors, such as Steiff for Collectors and the Charlie Bears Isabelle Collection. These teddies are often made of mohair, fully jointed and limited, and the maker marks them as collector's pieces rather than toys.

A collector's piece carries the maker's age rating, often 14 years and up, and is made to be displayed and looked after rather than played with.

Teddies made as toys carry the CE mark and the maker's age rating for children. Items without CE marking are collector's items, not toys.
